Fernando Olivares Chiang was born in QUITO, Ecuador, November 13th , 1976, but he is Chilean.
In this year 2011, Fernando quit his job as an engineer and started to figure his life out as an underwater photographer. In 2010 he release his first book, "Chile magico Norte submarino", this is the first book in Chile about underwater photography. Now he is working in his second book "Naufragios Del Salitre".
About competition, the 13th CMAS World Underwater Photography Championship was his first championship

Mariela Ruz Rodriguez was born in Santiago de Chile, she has a degree in a Business Administration and an enormous passion of the sea. She lives in Santiago, but spends much time in northern Chile where his family has a Resort and a Dive Center PADI (www.memoruz.cl) in Punta de Choros - Region IV, in the “Humboldt Penguin National Reserve”. Her father is an experienced diver and her 2 brothers are diving instructor, whom show to her the marvellous underwater world. She gives to them a continued support in logistics, diving expeditions and public relations. Regarding the 13th World Championship CMAS underwater photography, this was their first experience as a model and assistant, but surely not the last.
